This kit of Urethane-Rubber Molds for concrete is made by Butterfield/SikaStamp. We have been excited about this new lineup of molds for a while, so we combined a few items to create this kit so you can cast your own concrete benches. You can select either the wood-plank texture or the bluestone texture, or get 'em both. Our preferred concrete mix for casting these bench components is the Z-White Countertop mix but we also love the Butterfield Flat Out concrete mix as well as Proline's Pro-Cast mix. Mix and match various colors using Renew-Crete color-packs or other integral colors, APC Hydratint Stains, SDI Concentrated Acid Stains, and antiquing products as well for a completely-custom look. We've used a variety of SDI sealers on these pre-cast pieces too and we haven't found one that doesn't look great.
The Basic Backrest Bench kit will include:
- Two (2) leg molds (you will receive a Left and a Right Leg Mold)
- a single (1) seat-slab mold (your choice of wood plank or bluestone).
- Two (2) complete hardware kits to bolt the pieces together. (makes 1 complete bench)
The leg mold is manufactured with ports to install and set the anchor-hardware prior to casting so no drilling or extra work is required. Likewise, the seat-slab molds are manufactured so that your concrete will form around the areas where your bolt-and-washer hardware will be pre-aligned to fit neatly through seat-slab into the anchor-hardware cast into your leg mold pieces. The bolt-heads will be recessed below the surface of the seat for a clean look. Practical reinforcement is recommended (re-bar and/or AR-Glass mesh and fiber)
Finished Seat-Slabs are about 16" wide x 48" long, and 2" thick
Finish legs are about 31" deep, 33.125" tall, and 3.5" wide
