- Product Details Solvent-based styrene acrylate sealer, OTC low-VOC formulation (<400 g/L). Non-yellowing, clear sealer available in gloss or satin finishes. Designed for exterior decorative concrete applications.
- Coverage Approximately 200–350 sq ft per gallon per coat depending on surface porosity and texture. One generous coat is typically sufficient; a second coat may be applied for maximum build and protection if desired.
- Product Use Case Ideal for sealing and protecting stamped concrete, colored concrete, exposed aggregate, and other decorative horizontal surfaces such as patios, driveways, pool decks, walkways, and commercial plazas. Important Compatibility Notice (Styrene-Acrylate Sealer) This product is a styrene-acrylate copolymer-based sealer designed for application on properly prepared concrete surfaces, including fresh (green) concrete as a cure-and-seal or on cured, unsealed concrete.
Compatibility Warnings:
- Styrene-acrylate sealers may have limited compatibility with other sealer types, including pure acrylics, methyl methacrylate-based sealers, or previously applied coatings of unknown composition.
- Applying styrene-based sealers over unknown or incompatible existing sealers risks interlayer UV discoloration due to chemical incompatibility and accelerated degradation under sunlight.
- Applying this sealer over an incompatible existing sealer can result in:
- Poor adhesion or delamination (peeling/flaking)
- Trapped solvents/moisture between layers
- Reduced performance, bubbling, whitening, or premature failure
- Surface defects that may require complete stripping and re-application
- Method of Application Stir thoroughly before use. Apply one even, generous coat using a solvent-resistant roller (3/8″ nap recommended) or solvent-safe airless sprayer. Work in small sections to maintain a wet edge and avoid lap marks. Back-roll if puddling occurs. Allow to dry for 1–2 hours before light foot traffic and 24–72 hours before vehicle traffic or heavy use. Protect from rain for at least 4–6 hours after application. Keep away from open flames, sparks, or ignition sources.
