Description
SDI PolyKoat GL 100 is a premium, two-component aliphatic polyaspartic polyurea coating engineered with advanced nanotechnology for superior performance. This 100% solids, solvent-based formula delivers an ultra-high gloss, crystal-clear finish with exceptional durability, making it ideal as a protective topcoat or standalone sealer for concrete floors.
Key advantages include low odor during application, extended working time (slow-cure version), rapid overall curing for quick return to service, excellent UV stability (non-yellowing), and strong resistance to abrasion, chemicals, hot tire pickup, impacts, and wear — outperforming traditional epoxies and urethanes in speed and labor savings while providing comparable or better protection.
It’s perfect for garage floors, commercial/industrial spaces, workshops, showrooms, porches, and decorative systems (compatible with flakes, quartz, or metallic accents). The 1:1 mix ratio simplifies application, and its low-VOC profile (<50 g/L) meets strict environmental regulations.
Technical Data
- Type: Two-component aliphatic polyaspartic polyurea (solvent-based)
- Solids Content: 100% by volume
- Mix Ratio: 1:1 (Part A : Part B by volume)
- VOC Content: Ultra-low, <50 g/L
- Odor: Low during application
- Cure Profile (Slow Cure variant): Extended pot life/working time for easier application in varying conditions; foot traffic in ~3-6 hours (approx.), vehicle traffic in 24 hours (recommended)
- Gloss: Very high / ultra-high gloss finish
- Coverage Rate (approximate, varies by surface porosity/texture):
- First coat: 100–250 sq ft per gallon
- Optional second coat: 125–275 sq ft per gallon
- Dry Film Thickness (DFT) Recommendations: Typically 2–6 mils per coat for optimal performance
- Chemical Resistance: Excellent (splash/spill resistance to oils, fuels, acids, alkalis, etc.)
- Hot Tire Pickup Resistance: Excellent (comparable to high-quality epoxies)
- Abrasion Resistance: High (e.g., falling sand test values in similar lines ~30 liters sand per mil)
- Adhesion to Concrete: Excellent (superior penetration and bonding)
- UV Stability: Excellent (aliphatic — non-yellowing)
- Other Properties: Blush resistance excellent; USDA acceptable for incidental food contact areas (not direct food contact); meets OTC, CARB, LADCO VOC restrictions
- Application Temperature: Typically 40–85°F (low temps/humidity may extend cure times)
