Description
SDI’s Extra Clear Epoxy Resin is designed for high-clarity requirements, semi-thick pours and craftsman’s applications such as Epoxy River-Tables. This coating has EXCELLENT clarity, a moderately-thin viscosity, and longer “open times” to allow for better release of air bubbles and a smooth finish. Set times are faster with this material than our High-Build Epoxy, but still offers good flow to fill most features and holes (such as commonly found on live-edge wood projects). Practical pours of up to 1/2″ deep are recommended, though we’ve successfully cast more than 3/4″ depths at once with our Extra Clear casting epoxy, maintaining fantastic, “read-through” clarity. While the clarity of this Extra Clear Epoxy is its trademark, it also works well with metallic pigments to yield some amazing, artistic creations.
